Continue the Easter celebration with “The Greatest Story Ever Retold, THE COTTON PATCH GOSPEL”. This award winning musical drama is a leg-slappin’, toe-tappin’, hand-clappin’ hoe-down of a story that retells the Gospels of Matthew and John – translated into present day Southern vernacular. It brings the faraway places of Nazareth, Jerusalem and Bethlehem closer to home – Atlanta and Valdosta, Georgia. From His birth in a Gainesville, Georgia trailer to His Good Friday lynching and Easter Sunday victory, the story of Mary Davidson’s son, Jesus, is presented musically with zest and uninhibited joy. The musical score is by the late Harry Chapin, composer of such well known hits as “Cats in the Cradle” and “Taxi”.On Saturday, April 30nd, the church is hosting a family pot-luck. We’ll gather at 5:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. After a Blessing, dinner will begin so that those gathered can enjoy the 1:51 minute presentation while they eat. See you at the show!

Reopening Taskforce Update-March 2022
Our reopening taskforce met on March 1 to talk about the our Coronavirus Guidelines. With declining infection rates and changes in the CDC mask guidelines, we have decided to suspend our guidelines. As long as this trend and guidance continues, we will prayerfully discern what ministry looks like at Evangelical with less restrictions.
Currently we are not requesting folks to mask or social distance. Our worship committee plans to meet March 22 to envision what worship might look like going forward. We are so thankful for everyone working with us and we pray that these positive trends continue.

Daylight Saving Time Starts 2022
Daylight saving time starts tomorrow Sunday, March 13. Please set your clocks ahead an hour before bed.
